Pop-up Performative design laboratory / Open Identity, Interaction, Performativity

15 – 22 April, 2016

A week-long project explored becoming connections among elements of identity, movement of interaction, experience and performative objects

Kabinetas became a temporary location for this research where various design instruments of research, fixation and creativity will be working.

In the open design project question of identity (open identity) is new and relevant for a person of today, the one that erases borders between internal and external worlds. Expansion of Internet technology, penetrating dispersion of image production and reproduction contributes directly to diminishing of these differences. On the other hand, traditional opposition of internal and external when abolished does not disappear but maybe transforms itself?

Project “Open Identity, Interaction, Performativity” presents a process of open design with purpose to gather needed data for the research and the final view of the experiment will be visible during the exhibition closing on 22nd of April from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Laboratory assistants, artists, designers will work in the design laboratory. The visitors of “Kabinetas” are invited to join the open process by performing creative tasks, discussing with laboratory assistants and gathering part of data for the research.
