Austėja Vilkaitytė, Indrė & Ieva Ginkevičiūtė / Sleeping Suburban Installation

10 March, 2017

A closing evening of “Kabinetas” at A. Mapu st. 20 takes place with a slumber party “Sleeping Suburban Installation” brought by Indrė and Ieva Ginkevičiūtė and the idea author Austėja Vilkaitytė

Austėja Vilkaitytė is continuing “Internal Sensations”, the second part of her project SENSATIONS. The author searches for expressions of the internal psychological and physiological sensations through dance, choreography also local suburban candy bouquets and 3D Polish bed sheets. Vilkaitytė, usually working in the dance, choreography and performance fields, has decided to install an exhibition for the first time presenting the results of the long-developed “Suburban Theory”.

“Sleeping Suburban Installation” is the last event of “Kabinetas” at A. Mapu street location where it has spent more than a year. From April, it will have new temporary residencies in Kaunas, Vilnius and other places. The dancers of “Sleeping Suburban Installation” see Kabinetas off by cleaning its aura and putting it into a bouquet to take out.
